Translation. The original above is in German and is quoted verbatim.
As a web designer, accessibility matters to me, but testing and documenting it normally eats an enormous amount of time. Since I started working with Roland from dataprospect, that is thankfully no longer a problem. The reports are genuinely great: clear, precise and, above all, actionable. They do not just say what the problem is, they say exactly what you have to do and where the fault sits. You no longer have to hunt for errors, you know precisely which places need reworking.
What I like best is having everything from one source, from the report through the checklist to the accessibility statement, all perfectly matched up. And whenever I have a question, Roland is simply there.
So for anyone who does not just want to tick accessibility off, but do it properly: absolute recommendation!
Since 28 June 2025 the European Accessibility Act (EAA, German BFSG) applies to many commercial websites and online shops. Affected operators must meet the requirements and publish an accessibility statement under § 14 BFSG. Micro-enterprises with fewer than 10 staff and at most €2m annual turnover are exempt.
What the instant check does, and what it does not.

Frequently asked questions
What does a BFSG website audit report cost?
A BFSG website audit report costs €490 as a fixed price, final price incl. VAT, with no monthly plan. It includes the audit report covering every page of your website, the accessibility statement as its own file and a retest record after you have implemented the fixes. Delivery is usually within 24 hours of ordering.
How long does a BFSG website audit take?
The free instant check runs in seconds in the browser. The full report is produced automatically with AI support across every subpage and is usually delivered within 24 hours of ordering.
Are free scanners like Lighthouse or WAVE enough as BFSG evidence?
No. Pure scanners like Lighthouse, WAVE or axe find only around 30 to 40 percent of barriers and cannot judge whether an alt text fits or whether the accessibility statement is complete. Our engine combines the technical scan across 56 criteria with an AI that takes on exactly that judgement, and transparently marks the points that can only be checked in real use as manual checkpoints.
What is the difference between the free instant check and the paid report?
The free instant check scans one home page automatically for typical structural barriers and is an entry point. The paid report (€490) covers the full AI-supported audit across every subpage, prioritised findings with locations, a real browser on the fully rendered page, the accessibility statement as its own file and a retest record after implementation.
Is the BFSG audit report legal advice?
No. The report is not legal advice, not a certification and not a guarantee of conformity. It documents the barriers found and the measures needed under BFSG and WCAG 2.2 AA as a basis for implementation.
